sometimes you have to make an homage to the ingmar bergman classic the seventh seal with nba all-star and champion klay thompson, for kaiser permanente. oh, and directed by nicolas winding refn. and somehow…it makes perfect sense.
with the help of illustrator jonathan bartlett, we created a movie poster for the film that was as evocative as the film itself. the posters were sent to nba twitter mainstays, journalists and tv personalities to get ready for the film’s release during the playoffs.
a chess showdown
both michael k. williams and klay thompson are prolific chess players. but that was just the beginning of their connection, in this social behind the scenes film.
